Primed canopy frame: 1 hour

Cleaned the canopy with denatured alcohol, wiped with a tack cloth then brushed on Sika 206 primer over both the Sika adhesive, the canopy frame and any exposed plexiglass.

The Sika 206 primer is compatible with all of the above surfaces however it will require a good bit of sanding due to brushing it on.

Finished taping canopy for priming and final paint: 2.5 hours

Finished taping using the 3m vinyl masking tape for the edges and a cling film I got from Home Depot for the majority of the plexiglass followed by painters tape to connect the two.

Finished sanding canopy: 2.5 hours

Finished sanding the sika joints on the canopy frame. Started taping the canopy for priming.

I got some very expensive 3m vinyl masking taping from the auto paint supply to use on the edges.

Finished sanding then removed old tape and plastic from the inside.

Sanding inside canopy sika: 2.5 hours

More sanding ... working on the inside cosmetic sika layer with a small foam rubber block and 220 grit.
